Simple Sweet Cornbread
A fluffy cornbread that is a great accent for chilis
- 1 cup butter (melted)
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 eggs (beaten)
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 cups cornmeal
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a lg bowl, mix butter and sugar. Add eggs and buttermilk and mix.
Stir in baking soda, cornmeal, flour, and salt until well blended. Don’t over mix.
Spray 9×13 baking dish. Pour batter in dish.
Bake 30-40 minutes. If you insert a knife, toothpick etc it should come out clean.
