Wrens Nest Spring Show

For as long as I can recall my mom and her sisters have put together a fall and spring show.  We all have the craft bug so we showcase our goods at these events.  We also bring in other vendors who offer items that are unlike ours.  We have our spring event coming up in a few weeks and wanted to offer a peek to some of the items we will be selling. Show information:  April 27 and 28 10-5  2141 SE 103rd Drive Portland.

My mom (Karen) does

a lot of repurposed items.  She finds trinkets, vintage items, and other pieces I would never think of using to create some really fun pieces.  I am absolutely gaga over this fish wall piece.    You can see all the interesting items she used to create its shape.

The other piece that I want is this wind chime for outside.   The picture does not do it justice.  The spiral is copper and if you have it outside it would be beautiful to look at on a warm summer day.

My aunt Brenda makes a variety of items.  One of her best selling items are these felt pieces.  She does pillows and animals, plus a line of children’s toys that the kids enjoy.

Aunt Marlene makes linens, some are hand embroidered.   She always has a variety of options to compliment your kitchen or give as a gift to someone.   I make jewelry both new pieces and repurposed that I work with mom to create.   Marlene and I have handmade cards as well..   My other Aunts do glass work and wood pieces.

We have crocheted dish clothes, home and garden items, robots, planters, soaps, baby and children bibs, towels, toys, and  items from other vendors.    As if this was not enough we do have a lot of vintage that also included in the show.  Will be posting updates of items that will be there.

Restaurant Outing: Circa 33

Circa 33 is located on 34th and Belmont.  This cozy restaurant packs a punch in ambiance and menu choices.    The restaurant has a 1920’s feel while playing retro music in the background.  A relaxed atmosphere welcomes you as soon as you sit down.  The bad is floor to top stocked with options, then there is the food.

We tried the deviled eggs which were one of the best I have ever had.  They also had a stuffed mushrooms that were savory and melted in your mouth.  The whole experience was wonderful and we will be returning again and again.  They have a brunch that I want to try that looks phenomenal.  The restaurant hosts several events one of which was a prohibition party that I thought sounded wonderful.   Excellent service and a unique treat in Portland.
