Crusty Rustic Bread

I love cooking fresh bread. This is a simple bread that does not require a lot of time.

Servings 1 loaf



  1. Take yeast and water and let sit for 10 minutes. Should be foamy. Add flour and salt. I used the hook on my kitchen aid to mix. You can use a wood spoon to mix Should create a ball. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 12-18 hours. Heat oven to 450. Once ready cook on baking pan for 30 minutes. If you want it browner keep an eye on it for about 5 more minutes.

Recipe Notes

Mine is a bit wonky looking but that was because I cut a C in it and it didn't spread out like I thought it would. Bread is delicious I was just trying to be more creative then needed be.
